I want to rent a house, can you help me?

What are the rental prices of houses in the Netherlands?

Rentalprices are in every city or village in the Netherlands different. In the big cities the prices are the highest of course. But it also depends on what you’re looking for and your preferences.
If you want more information about your situation, let us know.

What is the minimal rental period?

Most of the time that’s 12 months. If you want to rent less months it’s more difficult to find a suitable house. This because landlords want to rent out there house for a longer periode so they don’t have to search every two months for new tenants.

I want to arrange a rentalhouse from my home country, can you arrange everything for me?

Yes, that’s definitely possible!

Are the rental contracts available in English?

This is not always the case. The Dutch rental contract is the legal one, so that one you’ve to sign.
We think it’s really important that you will understand the rental contract. So we’ll translate and explain everything to you!

Are you present during the check-in?

Yes we are.
We find it really important to do the final check. During this check-in we’ll see if everything is working and that the house is deliverd how it supose to be.

Why do I need to pay a deposit to the landlord an when do I get this back?

Almost all landlords ask for a deposit. Most of the time this is one or two months.
The deposit is kind of a security for the landlord. If you, as a tenant, leaves the house not properly and how it supose to be, the landlord can deduct all costs he need to maken from the deposit. If you leave the house neatly ofcourse you will get the deposit back within a set period.

I'm leaving my rental house. Who takes care of the check-out?

The landlord or the letting agent will take care of the check-out.

Can I cancel my one-year rental contract before the end?

Not all rentalcontracts are the same! Normally you can’t! If you’ve signed for a rentalcontract for 12 months, you can only end the rentalcontract at the end. After the 12 months you can end the rentalcontract every month. This is not always the case. So check your rentalcontract and the articles. 

Which companies are the best to arrange your insurances?
